Dubai is set to host the first Knight Shot Open – WNT Nineball Tournament, inviting both professional and amateur pool players from across the region to compete in a four-day event from July 14 to 17 at Impulse Snooker & Billiards Café in Oud Metha. Organized by Knight Shot—the largest supplier of billiard tables, sports goods, and accessories in the UAE and Middle East—the tournament is part of the brand’s mission to foster talent and provide a global platform for players in the region. The event is expected to attract World Nineball Tour (WNT)-ranked players and some of the sport’s biggest names, including 18-year-old Filipino prodigy Albert James Manas, who is regarded as one of the rising stars in the global nineball scene. According to organizers, top WNT players confirmed to participate include Fedor Gorst (USA, World No. 1); Francisco Sanchez Ruiz (Spain, World No. 3); Johann Chua (Philippines, World No. 5); Jayson Shaw (UK, World No. 8) and David Alcalde (Spain, World No. 9). The tournament is expected to elevate the local billiards scene and give UAE-based players the opportunity to compete against some of the world’s best.
