Did you know that Dubai has secret shoppers to rate the services of its establishments and government agencies? Yes, these mystery shoppers are out there to pose as regular customers while they observe and evaluate the level of customer service, particularly at government offices. Their report reaches no less than the Dubai ruler. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, recently revealed that Dubai has been sending out secret shoppers for years. “In line with this commitment, secret shoppers will continue to be deployed, as they have been for the past thirty years, ensuring ongoing evaluation and improvement of service delivery throughout Dubai, ” Sheikh Mohammed said. The Dubai ruler made the statement on Friday (June 2) while also praising a CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, who was reported by a secret shopper to be have given “exceptional service” to customers. Sheikh said that great customer service is important to Dubai’s growth. The Dubai ruler launched several programmes to rate customer service in the Dubai government. Just last month, Sheikh Mohammed revealed what the public rated the best and worst government services. ICA/Expat Media
