Actress and television personality Kris Aquino has revised her social media post announcing her breakup with Dr. Mike Padlan, her doctor-turned-boyfriend, softening her initial revelations about the split. In her original Instagram statement, Aquino disclosed that Padlan, a general surgeon based at Makati Medical Center, ended their relationship because of the challenges that came with her worsening health. "I choose to share MY PAINFUL TRUTH," she wrote, initially revealing Padlan’s reason for leaving her: “Iniwan kita dahil mahirap kang mahalin, sobrang sikip ng paligid (I left you because you’re hard to love. I felt so constricted).” She added, “My prayer is that he will now STOP trash-talking cursing my best friends and doctors who are still doing all they can to improve my quality of life, proving everyday genuine love, compassion, loyalty.” Alongside the statement, Aquino shared heartbreaking photos of herself in a fragile state, including one where her son, Bimby, carried her to the toilet—an intimate moment that underscored her ongoing battle with multiple autoimmune diseases. However, hours later, Aquino significantly edited the post, omitting some of the more confrontational remarks. The revised statement read: "Dr. M did not love me. He chose to leave when my autoimmune conditions were multiplying. In my defense, the MD received the correct professional fees – even when we were a couple. Alvin is calculating if he is still owed more." She also reworded her message about their failed relationship, stating, "Iniwan kita, masikip ang paligid. My prayer now is that we leave others out of our failure. I did cling and asked for too much because you restored my hope. When in your arms, I did feel safe. I don’t regret loving you completely. Sanay akong mabigo (I am used to failure).” Aquino’s post also detailed her worsening health, revealing she now weighs only 36 kilos and suffers from a combination of lupus arthritis, polymyositis, and acute fibromyalgia, making every step agonizing. She ended her message with gratitude for her son, Bimby, whose unwavering support has kept her going. "When you are unconditionally loved, when like me you are blessed with a son who will do all to lessen his mama’s physical & emotional suffering—BAWAL SUMUKO. Life is difficult for all of us, but faith in God and REAL love proven by ACTION give ALL the needed willpower to persevere."
