TV host-actress makes cryptic message in Instagram video blog, which was supposed to be part of her digital venture

  MANILA – Former presidential sister and TV host/actress Kris Aquino seemed to have been alluding to the secretive burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani or Heroes Cemetery in Taguig City last November 18 in a cryptic social media post. In an Instagram video entry on Sunday, the Queen of All Media said: "Simple lang naman. Ano bang halaga kung saan ako ililibing, eh, ang goal naman umabot ako sa langit (It's but simple. What's the use or importance of getting buried in a certain place if the ultimate goal is to be in Heaven, anyway)." Kris said that the video blog was supposed to be part of her digital venture entitled Kris Chronicles to be launched in December but she decided to post it instead in her Instagram account "because it is timely." She did not elaborate. "I'd written this a couple of weeks back, it's part of my growing collection of essays for our December launch, but it felt appropriate to upload now," she said. Aquino revealed that she had already purchased a vault in a columbrium in Taguig City so that her sons wouldn't have to worry where to put her urn when she passes on and maintenance of her mausoleum.
She didn't explain why she said the release of the video blog was timely but it appeared that she was referring to Marcos's secretive burial. The burial of the deposed dictator took Filipinos by surprise because the Marcos family didn't announce it beforehand and it came on the same day that various protest rallies were going to be held against Marcos's burial at the Libingan. The remains of the deposed dictator was flown from Ilocos Norte to Manila on a helicopter and then buried at the Libingan with the Marcos family present.  Honors were given to the deposed strongman. Anti-Marcos rallies erupted across the country last Friday during which the surreptitious burtial was crticized because it was done even if a motion for reconsideration was still going to be filed by petitioners against the interment of Marcos at the Libingan.
