Indian myna bird EXPAT MEDIA

Kuwait recognizes the Indian myna bird as beneficial rather than harmful to the environment and local wildlife. The presence of the bird is frequently viewed as unwanted on the Arab Peninsula, but according to Rashed Al-Hajji, Head of Kuwait Environmental Lenses, the friendly and flexible Indian myna bird has been a positive presence in Kuwait for more than 30 years. The myna bird has remarkably adapted to the local conditions of the Arab peninsula, defying its intruder status. During the months of April to July in India, these birds prefer to build their nests on cliff edges and suburban structures. The common myna is easily identifiable due to its brown body, black hooded head, yellow beak and legs, and a distinctive yellow patch behind its eye.
