Dubai Police improves services for disabled and elderly people

People can now avail services from Dubai Police stations even while staying inside their cars. Dubai Police has launched an updated smart device called Labbeh that could provide comfort and a great aid for the elderly and people of determination when they avail the police services. With the name coined from the Arabic term “Here for you,” the device allows the target customers to communicate with customer service officers through video chat via an intercom device without the need to physically step outside their vehicles. Labbeh can now be utilized at the designated parking lots of these three police stations: Al Barsha, Al Muraqabat, and Jebel Ali. Mahmoud Saeed Jahlan, Logistic Support Department of Dubai Police explained that customers can just drive near the device and ask for police service by pushing the button. Deaf customers will also be accommodated through the screen that would allow the officer to view the sign language in real-time. Special customer service can also cater to other needs through a tablet that will be physically assisted by the employee in the comfort inside one’s car. The device is applicable for cheque cases and paying traffic fines. As the service is in line with the national policy to empower the people of determination and the elderly, Jahlan assured that this device will be available in all police stations in the coming future.
