The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has announced a final 30-day grace period for individuals who were previously exempted from overstay fines due to exceptional circumstances that disrupted travel across the region. The grace period, which began on June 10, will remain in effect until July 9, providing eligible individuals with what authorities described as a final opportunity to regularise their immigration status or leave the UAE in accordance with applicable procedures. According to the ICP, the measure applies specifically to people who had earlier benefited from exemptions granted because regional disruptions delayed their departure from the country. The authority said the latest decision is intended to support compliance with UAE laws and regulations while allowing affected individuals sufficient time to resolve their residency and visa situations following the restoration of regional stability. Eligible individuals may use the grace period to regularise their status and continue living and working in the UAE legally, provided they meet all applicable requirements. The ICP urged affected residents and visitors to take advantage of the limited-time opportunity before the deadline expires on July 9. Authorities stressed that the measure represents a final grace period and encouraged eligible individuals to complete the necessary procedures as early as possible to avoid potential penalties after the deadline.
