A luxury villa on Dubai’s iconic offshore archipelago has been sold for Dh220 million, highlighting the continued strength of the emirate’s high-end property market. According to the Dubai Land Department, the villa transaction was recorded on Thursday (March 12) at The World Islands. The property is part of the Amali development and spans 58,081 square feet, with an average price of around Dh3,787 per square foot, according to official transaction data. The sale was among several high-value deals reported during early trading on Thursday, when 158 property transactions worth Dh605 million were recorded within the first few hours of activity. The World Islands, a man-made collection of islands designed to resemble a world map, has long been one of Dubai’s most distinctive luxury residential destinations. Located off the coast of Dubai, the development offers private villas and resorts surrounded by the waters of the Arabian Gulf, making it a magnet for ultra-high-net-worth buyers seeking exclusivity, privacy and waterfront views. Projects such as Amali have helped renew interest in the islands, with luxury villas offering expansive plots and high-end design aimed at global investors and second-home buyers.

Another major property deal

Thursday also saw another major real estate transaction in the emirate. A land plot in Al Sufouh Gardens sold for Dh705 million, according to data from the Dubai Land Department. The plot spans 85,080 square feet, with an average price estimated at Dh12,138 per square foot. Despite regional tensions, Dubai’s real estate sector continues to attract strong interest from investors. Analysts say demand for villas, residential units and land remains robust, driven by international buyers drawn to Dubai’s tax environment, lifestyle appeal and investor-friendly regulations.
