Mahzooz: Indian expat in Qatar wins Dh1 million

An Indian expatriate in Qatar is now a new millionaire after winning the weekly draw in Mahzooz, organizers announced on Thursday (April 13). Rinsa, 41, became the fifth guaranteed millionaire in Mahzooz's 123rd draw last Saturday. She received the good news in an email. "I couldn't believe it," Rinza said, "I've never won a single draw in my life, and I've always believed I'd never win." When she finally spoke with the Mahzooz team on the phone to confirm her win, she was “shocked and spellbound”. Rinza has been living in Qatar with her husband and two children for the past 18 years. She works there as a coordinator for a pipeline supply service. Rinza said she will use the money to pay for her eldest daughter’s university fees. She started participating in Mahzooz more than a year ago after discovering the draw on social media. She said she just wanted to contribute to a humanitarian cause since part of Mahzooz’s proceeds goes to charity. ICA/Expat Media
