A major National Response Drill has begun in Ras Al Khaimah, with authorities warning residents to stay away from the area and refrain from taking photos or videos of the ongoing operation. The large-scale exercise, which started on Thursday (October 23), is being held in Wadi Al Bih and will continue “until further notice.” According to Ras Al Khaimah Police, the comprehensive drill focuses on natural disaster preparedness, forming a vital part of the UAE’s national response strategy. It includes simulated scenarios to test coordination between multiple emergency and defense units. To ensure safety and smooth operations, authorities announced partial road closures in the Wadi Al Bih area. A detailed traffic map released by Ras Al Khaimah Police shows the affected routes and detour points, with motorists urged to plan alternate travel routes. Military and emergency vehicles will also be seen moving through the area, and residents are asked to give them priority access at all times.

4 strict public guidelines issued

Authorities released four important rules for the public to follow during the emergency simulation: 1. Stay away from the drill area – for safety and to avoid interfering with operations. 2. No filming or photography – taking videos or photos of the drill is strictly prohibited. 3. Avoid spreading misinformation – refrain from sharing unverified details or rumors. 4. Rely only on official updates – information will be released through Ras Al Khaimah Police and other government channels. “These drills are vital to enhance our preparedness and ensure the safety of residents in the event of a real natural disaster,” Ras Al Khaimah Police said in a statement. The police thanked the public for their cooperation and urged everyone to stay updated by following @rakpolicehq on social media. The National Response Drill brings together several key entities to assess coordination, improve readiness, and strengthen the UAE’s resilience in responding to emergencies such as floods, earthquakes, or other natural crises.
