Man cleared of raping step daughter's teen friend

  DUBAI – A Dubai court has junked a case against a 63-year-old British man accused of raping the teenage friend of his stepdaughter. The 17-year-old British teen told the court that the man had molested her and raped her while she was sleeping over at her friend's residence in Dubailand. The man repeatedly denied he raped the teen. The court ruled in his favour after medical reports confirmed that he suffers from erectile dysfunction. The girl alleged that while she was at her friend's residence for a birthday party, her friend's stepfather "came to me, molested me repeatedly and told me I was pretty. He continuously harassed me." She woke up the next day with the suspect groping her with "his hands inside my clothes. He removed my dress and raped me." The Briton didn't tell her friend about the incident but reported it to the school's social worker, who alerted the girl's mother. The school's vice-principal testified that the girl had told her about the alleged rape. "She claimed as well that the suspect told her he wished he was younger to try his luck with her. The tone and seriousness in which she divulged to me what had happened doesn’t show that she had fabricated the incident,” she told the court. Dubai Police's forensic examiner, however, confirmed that the British teen lost her virginity long before the date of the alleged rape.
