Man dies in crane collapse at Abu Dhabi site

  DUBAI – An Asian construction worker died and three others were injured after a crane collapsed in a construction site in Abu Dhabi, police said on Sunday. The incident happened at a building construction site between Al Muneera and Al Zeina in Raha beach on Sunday morning. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Abu Dhabi Police said three construction workers received moderate to serious injuries and were taken to the Al Rahba and Al Mafraq Hospitals for treatment. Lt. Col. Ibrahim Ali Jalal Al Baloushi, Director of the Rapid Intervention Department at the Directorate of Emergency and Public Safety, called on construction company owners to ensure regular maintenance of cranes to avoid similar incidents.
