Man dies of health complications while walking in Khorfakkan

According to Sharjah Police, a 62-year-old Emirati man died while walking on the Burj Al Rabi mountain trail in Khorfakkan due to health difficulties. According to Lieutenant-Colonel Saeed Rashid Al Hayaye, chief of the Khorfakkan Comprehensive Police Station, the Eastern Region Police operations room received a complaint that a person on the Jabal Al Rabi trail was suffering from great exhaustion and was unable to continue walking. He was sent to Khorfakkan Hospital for treatment by the National Ambulance, but he died, Lieutenant-Colonel Saeed Rashid Al Hayaye added. The Eastern Region Police urges members of the public who participate in sporting activities in the mountains to ensure that they are fit enough to do so and that they do not have chronic ailments that could threaten them during exercise.
