Man rescued from drowning in Ajman beach

AJMAN - An Asian man has been rescued from drowning in Ajman beach, police said. The incident happened on Friday at around 4pm, said First Lieutenant Mohammad Al Muhairi of Ajman Civil Defence. No further details were revealed about the victim's identity or the circumstances surrounding the incident. Al Muhairi, however, said that the man is in stable condition after being taken to the hospital for treatment. The Ajman Civil Defence last year intensified its maritime rescue service by launching a unique drone that can detect drowning cases through special cameras and therman sensors. The drone service was launched in response to one death and 12 drowning cases since January 2017.
