Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is bringing his passion for sports and education to Dubai with the launch of the Manny Pacquiao Sports Academy in early 2025. Pacquiao announced his plans on the sidelines of his visit to Global Village in Dubai on Friday (November 29). The project, which aims to develop young talent across various sports, is part of Pacquiao’s vision to inspire and mentor the next generation of athletes. Pacquiao called Dubai the ideal location for the academy's first international branch, citing its global talent pool and potential. The academy will initially focus on boxing, basketball, and fitness, with plans to expand into other sports. While the exact location is yet to be disclosed, Pacquiao hinted at state-of-the-art facilities and programs tailored for youth development. Pacquiao’s academy is expected to be a game-changer for aspiring athletes in Dubai, providing them with access to world-class training and mentorship. The announcement comes as Pacquiao prepares for an exhibition basketball game on December 2 at Al Nasr Club. Team Pacquiao will face Team Fade, led by Dubai radio personality Kris Fade.
