  DUBAI - Five out of 10 UAE residents expect better job growth opportunities in the next six months and business conditions in the country will improve next year, according to a survey by job portal bayt.com and research firm YouGov. Based on the Middle East Job Seeker Confidence Survey done last month, 53 percent of the respondents said career growth opportunities will get better in the next six months while 35 percent they would remain the same. Twelve percent of those surveyed gave a pessimistic view of job growth and opportunities in 2016, according to the Middle East Job Seeker Confidence Survey. With regard compensation, 47 percent of the survey respondents foresee better compensation, 38 per cent expect their compensation to remain the same and 15 per cent said it may get worse. As far as training and professional development is concerned, half of respondents said they were satisfied while 19 per cent were neutral on the matter and in terms of work-life balance, 48 percent of UAE respondents said they were satisfied and 24 percent were neutral. Meanwhile, almost three quarters of those who took part in the poll said business conditions will improve next year while 17 percent said they would remain the same.
