Western International Group, the company behind popular retail brand Nesto, has announced a major expansion of its affordable luxury chain, Mark & Save, across the UAE and GCC. The group said it will open eight new Mark & Save hypermarkets in the next six months, building on the brand’s rapid growth since its 2022 launch. The locations of the new outlets are expected to be revealed soon. The expansion coincides with their Ajman Industrial Area store celebrating 200 days of operations. To mark the milestone, Mark & Save is running a four-day mega discount event from September 25 to 28. Customers also have a chance to win Dh200 shopping vouchers daily for the next 200 days. “Mark & Save continues to expand its presence in the UAE and GCC by combining value-driven pricing with an unmatched customer experience,” said Debangshu Adhikari, Senior Vice President. The chain already operates eight stores in the UAE and 19 in the GCC, with another outlet opening soon in Ajman Al Thalla. Mark & Save currently employs more than 3,000 staff and carries over 200,000 products sourced globally, catering to the diverse communities of the region. Mohammed Fasil, Head of Operations, said: “We serve a wide range of nationalities with products tailored to cultural preferences. Our assortment reflects communities, ensuring ethnic or nationality-specific products are always available.” Looking ahead, the group has set global ambitions, with plans to launch 500 stores worldwide, including in India, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe.
