Malaysian fastfood chain Marrybrown has permanently closed its branch in Dubai’s Al Rigga, making way for Bake Land Restaurant and Cafeteria to take over the space, Expat Media has learned. Located between Coral Perfumes and Al Rigga Inasal Restaurant, the Marrybrown outlet was a familiar spot in the bustling Al Rigga food district, known for its wide variety of dining options catering to residents and tourists alike. However, as of Monday (February 17), the restaurant has shut its doors, with a new establishment set to take its place. A sign posted on the restaurant’s façade confirmed the closure while informing customers that they can still order Marrybrown’s signature meals through major food delivery platforms, including Deliveroo, Careem, Noon Food, and Talabat. Despite the closure of the Al Rigga branch, Marrybrown remains operational in other locations across the UAE. The brand is known for its fried chicken and burgers. Replacing Marrybrown in Al Rigga is Bake Land Restaurant and Cafeteria, a new dining spot operated by Bake Land Group. A banner now covers the old Marrybrown window signage, announcing the upcoming opening of the restaurant. Bake Land Group has not yet released an official opening date, but the new restaurant is expected to add another culinary option to Al Rigga’s already vibrant food scene.
