Meet Sheikh Zayed look-alike in Sharjah

DUBAI – A 34-year-old Emirati has become a social media star because of his uncanny resemblance to Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Hazza Saeed Abdullah Al Kitbi, a resident of Sharjah, said he often gets asked if he is Sheikh Zayed’s grandson because of his striking resemblance to the UAE’s founding father. Al Kitbi said he is honoured to look like Sheikh Zayed, adding that he first started getting hundreds of comments on his resemblance to the late ruler when he posted his photo on Instagram ten years ago. The Emirati is actually a royal guard of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Al Kitbi lives in Sharjah with his family and has two daughters aged 4 and 6. The Emirati said because his photos have gone viral, he is often invited to heritage events and charities. He adds that he doesn’t charge money for promotional appearances at restaurants. Al Kitbi was featured in a short Hollywood documentary movie on the late Sheikh Zayed, according to a Khaleej Times report.
