Mind-blowing UK pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

  DUBAI - An interactive UK pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai is set to mesmerize visitors and challenge them to be creative with collective poetry. The design of the interactive pavilion was revealed on Thursday. Visitor can type words in English, Arabic and Chinese that will then be displayed on the facade of the conch shell-shaped pavilion. The 20-metre high pavilion fuses poetry, visual effects, algorithms, music and technology that includes small LED screens and solar panels. UK designer Es Devlin described the design as "a bit like a musical instrument". She created the design of the pavilion with 12 designers in five months. "The idea behind it is that every visitor to the expo can donate one word and by the end we hope to have a message that is collective and has been sourced from every single visitor. Hopefully it will transcend national identities and using artificial intelligence generate a collective poem,” Devlin told The National. The circular facade will be covered in illuminated text.
