Morissette looking forward to 'sharing experience' with OFWs in UAE

  DUBAI - Ahead of her concert in Dubai next week, singer Morissette Amon said she is "very excited" to perform for Filipinos in the emirates. Morissette will be at the Dubai World Trade Centre on August 17 for her first solo concert in Dubai. "For the past times I got to perform for our kababayans there, I always have a great time. They're very lively and always so supportive. I'm beyond grateful the team is bringing 'Made' to Dubai, and I'm looking forward to sharing the experience with our OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) and friends in the Middle East," she told Expatmedia.net. "What I always tell my audiences is 'nothing beats the live experience'. Since we've already done 'Made' in Araneta and Cebu, most of my prods are already out on the web.. But I like to emphasize that it's a totally different feeling getting to actually be 'there'. Our Dubai crowd can expect 100 percent or more all-out performances as we always do, and the collaborations with the different guests is always something to look forward to," she said. Morissette will be sharing the stage with Sam Concepcion as a guest artist. "One of the things I admire about Sam as a performer is how talented he is and how he always knows how to have fun on stage. The collaboration we'll doing for the concert is definitely going to be fun and hopefully something our audience can dance and jam along to," she said. The singer was in Cebu in July for her "Morissette is Made" homecoming concert. She grew up in Cebu before moving to Manila to pursue her dreams of becoming a celebrity singer. How will her Dubai concert differ from her concerts in Cebu and Manila? "Each leg has really become incredibly special and personal to me. Although we are bringing the same set of songs with a few tweaks in the lineup each time, it's always a difference experience 'cause our audiences give different reactions and I guess that's what makes it exciting all the time. I am blessed and thankful that all my legs have so far been greatly supported and highly anticipated. It's pressure in our part but it pushes me and my team to always give our best for all our concerts," she said. Morissette said she is counting on the support of her fans in the Middle East, with social media as a tool to connect to them with her music. "I am grateful that I have been in different countries across the Middle East countless times to do shows and perform for our kababayans and OFWs there and their love and support is heartwarming, I hope it continues to grow as I continue to journey on," she said. The singer will also be joined by five fans picked to sing with her at her concert in Dubai. "I am glad to be having them along on this leg. I know the future is bright for each one of the Wishful5 and I am humbled to have been able to share the stage with at their successful album concert, my many thanks to them. I know they will blow our Dubai audience away!" she said. Morissette's exclusive performance on the Wish 107 bus was her most viewed so far, organisers said, adding that many of the viewers came from Dubai. She sang Little Mix's "Secret Love Song". "After being noticed by Little Mix with my performance of the same song on another platform, it makes me all the more excited to be sharing and jamming it on our next 'Made' leg and I already know our audience there will make it just as special," she said.
