Dubai: Mother and son finally reunite after 15 years apart

At the Dubai International Airport's transit hall, the Dubai Police reunited a mother with her son, who had been separated from her for nearly 15 years, while he was on his way to India. According to Brig. Gen. Hamouda Bal Suwaida Al Ameri, Acting Director of the General Department of Airport Security, an Arab mother approached the General Department, requesting permission to meet her son, who was transiting through Dubai International Airport on his route to India for treatment. Due to circumstances, the mother had not seen her son in over 15 years, so she sought the Dubai Police to assist her in meeting and speaking with him after such a long time apart, according to Al Ameri. The police reacted to the mother's plea and searched Dubai International Airport Terminal 2's "transit" section for her son. "We searched for the son in the transit area in the Dubai International Airport, aided by an old picture of him. We managed to locate him and brought the mother to see her son at last," Brig Al Ameri said. Through the use of an old photograph, the teams were able to identify and locate him, and he was reunited with his mother, who had been waiting for him.
