Vehicle owner surprised to find toddler sleeping at the backseat

  SHARJAH – In an unusual incident, a mother mistakenly placed her sleeping three-year-old toddler in a car that she thought belonged to her friend. The real owner of the vehicle discovered the sleeping boy at the backseat only upon reaching home. Investigation showed that the mother met with her friends at the Buhaira Corniche Park yesterday and when her son fell asleep, she asked one of her friends who owned a car if she could put her son in her vehicle so he would not be disturbed. The woman's friend unlocked her car remotely and the woman placed her baby at the backseat of a car that had the same color and model. Later, the woman went to her friend's car but did not find her son inside so that she thought that her baby had been abducted and immediately went to the nearby police station. While she was at the police station, the owner of the car where the woman put her son by mistaken arrived and reported that he found a boy sleeping at the backseat of his vehicle. The man said he forgot to lock his car when he parked it at Buhaira. The mother and her son were thus reunited.
