ICP: Multi-entry permits to complete Golden residency applications

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has explained a new service on its website, which is now available to foreigners wishing to complete their UAE Golden Visa application in the Emirates. The multi-entry permit is the new ICP service that allows expatriates to finish their residency visa application in the country. It can be completed by following the five procedures indicated on the website smartservices.icp.gov.ae. According to ICP, the service constitutes charges that include Dh1,000 as an issuance fee, Dh100 as an application fee, Dh100 as a smart services fee, Dh28 as an electronic services fee, and Dh22 as an ICP fee. It is part of ICP’s smart channels, which offer an entry permit for a period of six months. Moreover, the said service can be extended for a similar period to guarantee the completion of the Golden Visa application. The Golden Visa, or the 10-year residency, is a long-term residence visa that enables foreign talents to live, work, or study in the UAE while enjoying its exclusive benefits. In addition to the service description, it is also available to the following categories of applicants: 1. Outstanding specialized talents, including scientists and specialists 2. Investors in public investments 3. Real estate investors 4. Entrepreneurs 5. High school top-ranked students in UAE 6. Graduates of accredited universities in UAE 7. Graduates of accredited universities outside UAE and frontline workers. ICP has clarified that the application will be automatically canceled after 30 days in case the application is returned due to missing data or non-completion of the required documents. Furthermore, the application will be canceled if it is returned 3 times due to missing data or non-completion of the required documents. The authority added that issuance fees are refunded only if the application was rejected by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security.
