Three-day competition starts today at the O2 in Prague

  PRAGUE – The world's top 2 male tennis players could be playing side by side in the Laver Cup that kicks off today (Friday). The three-day competition at the O2 Arena will have the best six European players play against the best six from the rest of the world. The tournament is in honor of 11-time major champion Rod Laver, who won two calendar-year Grand Slams. The Laver Cup will include three singles and one doubles match every day. Joining Nadal, who is world no. 1 and Federer, the current world no. 2, are Alexander Zverev, Marin Cilic, Dominic Thiem and Tomas Berdych. They are coached by Bjorn Borg. The other team is composed of Sam Querrey, John Isner, Nick Kyrgios, Jack Sock, Denis Shapovalov and Frances Tiafoe. Their coach is John McEnroe.
