Amundson's short stint with TNT Katropa ends on winning note

  MANILA - Former NBA player Lou Amundson ended his very brief stint in the PBA last Sunday and hopes he can play again in the Philippine league. Amundson had been signed by TNT Katropa to play in the team for two games only. He will be replaced by Donte Green, who played with the Sacramento Kings for four seasons. Amundson, who played in the NBA for 10 years, debuted in the TNT last Friday. The team played against Meralco in the 2017 Commissioner's Cup but lost to Maralco, 94-89. In his second and last stint with TNT last Sunday, he helped the team win against Phornix Fuel Masters, 134-109. "It's kind of bittersweet. I like it here, and my teammates are great people, the coaches are great people. I'm just blessed with this opportunity, and to be on this team for a short amount of time," said Amundson, who had stints with the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks. Amundson further said, "I would love to play here again. Hopefully, by having a little bit of experience here, I was able to show some teams what I have to offer and maybe, I'll be back for another team in the future." He believes that TNT will do well in the Commissioner's Cup saying "I think they're going to be great." With regard Greene, Amundson described him as "a great scorer". TNT coach Nash Racela thanked Amundson for accepting the offer to play with the TNT even if it was for two games only. Meanwhile, Amundson said he will take a vacation in Palawan for a few days before returning to the US then find "a good European team".
