A new bridge on Al Khail Road has been opened, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Monday (September 30). The 700-metre two-lane bridge is located between the intersections of Al Khamila and Hessa Street. It can also accommodate 3,200 vehicles per hour. The project also included improvements to surface roads extending over 900 meters. According to RTA, the bridge aims to "enhance traffic from Jumeirah Village Circle to Al Khail Road towards Deira, connecting residential and development areas to achieve transport efficiency." Earlier in September, two new major bridges in Dubai were opened as part of the Garn Al Sabkha-Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road Intersection Improvement Project, cutting travel time by up to 70 percent.
