A new beauty pageant in the UAE is putting the spotlight on young Filipina women, celebrating not just their looks, but their voice, talent and purpose. Hiyas ng Gitnang Silangan is set to gather single Filipina ladies aged 18 to 25 who are living and working in the UAE. Organizers say the competition goes beyond crowns and sashes. It aims to redefine beauty in today’s world by highlighting intelligence, confidence, talent and meaningful advocacy. The pageant promises to be more than a stage event. Candidates will take part in talent showcases, advocacy presentations and personal development sessions designed to help them grow both personally and professionally. Organizers said the competition will give participants the chance to share their personal stories and champion causes that matter to them and their communities in the UAE. Aside from the prestige of winning a title, participants will compete for cash prizes and giveaways, organizer ZOE Group of Companies told Expat Media.
