New medical imaging facility launched in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has announced the launch of a new medical imaging facility in Abu Dhabi, which will be located behind the Al Zafaranah Diagnostic & Screening Center - Medical Imaging Building. The new facility opened on March 24 and is open from 7 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. Sunday to Friday. By bringing all diagnostic radiological services under one roof, the center hopes to optimize the procedure for patients and reduce their waiting time. “The opening of our new Medical Imaging Building is a welcome addition to our Ambulatory Healthcare Services network as we strive to streamline the patient journey," said Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of SEHA's Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS). "For the first time, we will be able to provide our patients with the latest diagnostic services, such as MRI, CT scan, and liver elastography, in a primary healthcare centre setting without the need of visiting a hospital. This is in line with our commitment to bring care closer to our patients’ homes and act as the primary gateway to a multitude of care and treatment options that SEHA offers," she added. The dedicated imaging center will offer the most up-to-date diagnostic and screening technology for 2D and 3D mammograms, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, and Bone Densitometry, among other services.
