New name for Dubai’s Tecom community in Barsha

  DUBAI – Forget Tecom. That neighbourhood in Al Barsha will now be called Barsha Heights. A new advertisement circulated by operator Tecom Group this week said, “Formerly known as Tecom, Barsha Heights is a vibrant community rich in entertainment and urban living”. On Tuesday, Tecom Group issued a statement regarding what it said was a "rebranding of two of its destinations". "Located in the heart of new Dubai, 'Barsha Heights' and 'Sufouh Gardens' feature residential and commercial units as well as serviced apartments and hotels. Site C, currently known as Tecom, is to be renamed Barsha Heights," Tecom Group said. It also announced that the community across the street "located north to Dubai Internet City, will henceforward be known as Sufouh Gardens". Tecom said that the rebranding is part of its "commitment to deliver sustainable, holistic communities and continuously enhance the environment and lifestyle through the optimisation of community relations and asset management." It also said that it has created the Tecom Community Management (TCM) to ensure that Tecom communities are managed to "the highest international standards and bring significant added value to investors." "TCM, which is responsible for managing and improving all Tecom Group’s communities, aims to enhance residents and investors’ experience within Barsha Heights and Sufouh Gardens by providing state- of-the- art services. TCM will ensure optimum service delivery and fostering good relations between stakeholders as well as enhancing the communities by maintaining and improving infrastructure, landscaping, and adhering to highest level of health, safety and security," Tecom Group said.
