New Sharjah trash bins: what each colour means, plus new service for furniture haul

DUBAI - The next time you throw your trash in Sharjah, make sure you know what the new colour-coded trash bins are for. Recycling company Bee’ah said Sharjah residents will get new colour-coded recycling bins as part of a waste management trial in the emirate. The community in Al Rahmaniya will be the first to try the new trash bins. Green bins are for general waste while blue bins are for plastics and cardboard. According to Bee’ah, the trial will be implemented across Sharjah if successful.

Collection of furniture, appliances

The recycling company has also launched a new service called You Call We Haul for the collection of unwanted furniture and large appliances. The company will also provide trash bags for disposal of bulky waste, such as carpets, pots, trees, paintings, and dead bushes. Residents can call the Bee'ah call centre or use the mobile app to call for delivery.
