  ABU DHABI – Starting on January 1, 2017, Abu Dhabi will be implementing new water and electricity rates for customers living in apartments and villas. The amended tariff will reflect the actual cost of supplying water and electricity to all categories of customers in line with the emirate’s natural resources conservation policy, according to an announcement made by the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority along with Abu Dhabi Distribution Company and Al Ain Distribution Company. Electricity tariff for expats living in apartments 26.8 fils per kWh (kilowatt-hour) for up to 20 kWh per day 30.5 fils per kWh for consumption above 20 kWh per day Electricity tariff for expats living in villas 26.8 fils per kWh for up to 200 kWh per day 30.5 fils per kWh for consumption above 200 kwh per day.
