WhatsApp, owned by Meta Platforms (META.O), announced on Thursday that it is internationally rolling out a feature called 'Communities' to organize various chat groups into larger structures, as well as other capabilities like larger group video calls and in-chat polling. The Communities feature would bring together diverse chat groups with bigger capacities where administrators can send alerts to a community of thousands - a feature that may be useful for employers or schools. According to the company statement, the app will now allow chat groups to include up to 1,024 individuals, up from the previous limit of 256 participants. Other feature releases include 32-person video calling as well as in-chat polls. BKM/ Expat Media
