Dubai is set to open a dedicated public beach for women as part of the expansive Al Mamzar Beach Development Project. The women’s beach, which will also offer night swimming, will span 80 meters and occupy a total area of 125,000 square meters along Al Mamzar Corniche Beach. Dubai Municipality has designed the facility with a gated entrance and fencing to ensure a secure and private experience for women. The new beach will also offer a sports club, children’s play areas, and commercial services tailored to its visitors' needs. This initiative is part of Phase 2 of the Al Mamzar Beach Development Project, scheduled for completion by the end of 2025 at a total cost of Dh400 million. The new facility aims to elevate the recreational options in the area, offering amenities such as walking, running, and cycling paths, which span 1,000 meters and connect Al Mamzar Creek Beach with Al Mamzar Park. The project integrates green spaces designed to meet the highest standards of aesthetic landscaping. Additional facilities include a 5,000-square-meter area for seasonal events and a 2,000-square-meter skateboarding park. Smart surveillance systems, AI-driven crowd management tools, and smart luggage lockers will enhance visitor safety and convenience. The beach facilities will also cater to people of determination with accessible toilets, changing rooms, and services. Additionally, the corniche will feature public health and wellness facilities, a first-aid center, and an administrative building equipped with a control room. The development includes waterfront restaurants, food and beverage outlets, and spaces for recreational activities. By blending leisure with business opportunities, the project aims to stimulate economic growth while enhancing the visitor experience. Dubai Municipality reiterated its commitment to creating world-class infrastructure, saying, “This project underscores Dubai’s ambition to offer residents and tourists unparalleled leisure experiences while fostering community and economic growth.” Families can also look forward to restrooms, beach lounges, and facilities for children, making Al Mamzar Corniche Beach a prime destination for all age groups.
