Public parking in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be free of charge for the New Year holiday, authorities announced. In Dubai, public parking is free on December 31 and January 1, except in multi-level parking terminals. Paid parking will resume at 8am on January 2. In Abu Dhabi, motorists can enjoy free parking on January 1. Toll gates will also be free to use on Monday. According to the Integrated Transport Centre, motorists can avail of free parking on street parking until 7:59am on January 2. Parking will also be free in the Mussafah M-18 truck parking lot. Motorists have been advised against parking in residential areas during New Year’s Eve from 9pm until 8am on New Year’s Day. ICA/Expat Media
