Free AlHosn app access without data plan for Etisalat mobile subscribers

  DUBAI – Even if you don’t have a data plan, you can now access the AlHosn app in public places if you are an Etisalat mobile subscriber. The free service is available to all Etisalat postpaid and prepaid customers, according to the telecom provider. Users do not need to activate or purchase a data plan to access the AlHosn app, which is used to check a person’s vaccination and health status amid the Covid-19 pandemic. According to Etisalat, the AlHosn app is now whitelisted so that any data consumed while using the app will not come off a mobile subscribers’ allowance. "We are pleased to offer zero rated access to Al Hosn app. This is a testament to Etisalat’s commitment to enhance customer experience while supporting the government’s efforts in using the latest mobile technologies to help contain the Covid-19 virus and maintain the health and safety of all citizens, residents and visitors in the country," Khaled Elkhouly, Chief Consumer Officer of Etisalat, said on Monday (September 6). In Abu Dhabi, the AlHosn app is required for residents and tourists to show their green pass in order to enter most public places. The requirement was implemented on August 20.
