No increase in service fees, says Dubai Municipality

DUBAI - The Dubai Municipality said it will not increase service fees for traders, said Dawood Al Hajiri, director-general of the municipality. Speaking to traders in a forum on Wednesday, Al Hajiri said that His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered government institutions to reduce the cost of doing business in the emirate. He said that part of this directive is to not impose an increase on charges for services and fees imposed by the municipality. “The UAE is moving from an important stage to a new era of growth and prosperity, not to mention the importance that this decision represents for the historical embrace of Expo 2020, which means that the emirate is preparing to receive new waves of foreign investment, which in turn require a stable and attractive economic environment that will help it to develop its long-term plans,” he said. The Dubai Municipality has initiated a forum with traders to shape initiatives aimed at simplifying business procedures and reducing their costs. Traders from Al Ras Market and Gold Souq, as well as food merchants attended the forum.  GAD/Expat 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
