Residents near the Consulates campus in Umm Hurair, Dubai, should be prepared for a joint security drill on at 11pm on Monday (October 7), the Dubai Police announced. The drill, which aims to test and improve emergency response procedures, will involve several law enforcement units. Dubai Police has urged the public to avoid the area and refrain from taking photographs during the drill. A spokesperson from the department emphasized the importance of cooperation, saying, “These exercises are essential for enhancing our preparedness and ensuring the safety of all residents in emergency situations.” Residents should also be aware that traffic disruptions may occur as patrols move into position during the drill. The public is advised to make way for police vehicles and follow any instructions given by officers in the vicinity. These drills are part of a broader initiative by Dubai Police to maintain the highest security standards in the city. “We are constantly working to ensure that Dubai remains one of the safest cities in the world,” the spokesperson added.
