Veteran actress Nora Aunor has captivated social media once again, this time for a nostalgic reason: her iconic dress from the 1967 Tawag ng Tanghalan competition. Aunor brought the dress to Boss Toyo's popular pawnshop, creating an online sensation with over 5 million views on Boss Toyo’s YouTube channel. In the video, Boss Toyo, whose real name is Jayson Luzadas, welcomed Aunor, who recounted the story of her victory and her attachment to the dress. “I wore this when I won Tawag ng Tanghalan,” Aunor told Luzadas. Despite his offer, she clarified that she wouldn’t part with the dress. Aunor’s visit had a charitable motive, as she sought help for storm victims in the Bicol region. She shared that she has already gathered clothes from her personal collection to donate, inspiring Luzadas and other influencers to initiate relief efforts. Her dress, valued at around P5 million (Dh315,539), piqued Luzadas' interest, who noted that he would consider it a significant addition to his upcoming museum collection. “This dress is a piece of history. If she ever changes her mind, I’d be honored to display it,” he commented. In a heartwarming turn, Luzadas pledged P250,000 (D15,776) toward Aunor’s cause.
