  DUBAI – The largest of three triplex penthouses at One Palm has been sold to an anonymous buyer for Dh102 million, surpassing the previous record price of Dh60 million, property developer Omniyat has announced. The penthouse measures over 29,800 square feet. Omniyat said the buyer requested that a 20-meter lap pool be built on the penthouse's rooftop so he could swim in private even if One Palm offers three swimming pools. Omniyat acceded to the buyer's request and once finished, the lap pool will be one of the highest and most private swimming pools in Dubai. The penthouse's five en-suite bathrooms and several living areas offer spectacular views of Dubai Marina's skyline and the Arabian Gulf and includes almost 11,500 square feet of exterior space such as balconies, terraces and the rooftop area. The triplex unit was designed in opulent rich textures of London-based luxury design studio Elicyon. Omniyat had announced that the One Palm has officially been topped out ahead of schedule. The cost of a three-bed apartment at One Palm starts at Dh12.5 million. Omniyat founder and chief executive Mahdi Amjad said: "The topping out of One Palm ahead of schedule is testament to our team and partners who have worked tirelessly to bring this incredible building to life. From this point on we now look forward handing over the keys to our first customers and the official opening." One Palm is due for completion in 2018.
