3 New Megaprojects to Open on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island

Three new megaprojects worth Dh13 billion are being developed on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island to boost its image as one of the UAE’s top tourist destinations. Yas Island Abu Dhabi is already home to three award-winning theme parks: Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World and Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

The high-tech indoor theme park SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will open in 2023. It will be home to 68,000 marine creatures and the world’s largest aquarium whose central point will be a 20-metre tall vertical window of “Endless Ocean” set out across multiple levels.

teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi

Located in Saadiyat Cultural District, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi will be an immersive, experiential journey through cutting-edge installations sitting at the intersection of art and technology. The purpose-built, 17,000sqm teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi building will be populated with installations that will only be found in Abu Dhabi.

Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi

Miral started developing the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi this year. Located in Saadiyat Cultural District, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will feature some of the rarest natural history specimens ever found on planet Earth. A highlight of the new museum’s collection will be the world-famous skeleton of ‘Stan’, the Tyrannosaurus rex, the Murchison Meteorite specimen, and other spectacular collections.
