  DUBAI - A 35-year-old Pakistani woman who spent nearly 50 days in hospital battling a disease that affected her lungs died on Thursday (November 9), her sister told Expatmedia.net. Khadija Ahmed died of cardiac arrest while on a ventilator at 5am, her younger sister Sadia said. Khadija is survived by her parents, sister, and two brothers. She will be buried in Sharjah on Thursday evening. Khadija had a history of childhood asthma and was diagnosed with cystic fibriosis in later years. Her condition appeared manageable and she was able to work as a research analyst for a Dubai-based company for three years.
