UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi announced that Pakistanis are now eligible to apply for a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa to the UAE, following the resolution of earlier visa issues. The announcement was made during a meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori at the Governor’s House on Tuesday (April 8). “Visa issues have been resolved, Pakistanis can get a five-year visa,” the ambassador confirmed in a press release issued by the Governor House. The visa allows multiple entries into the UAE without requiring a sponsor, providing greater flexibility for Pakistani travelers. This comes amid previous reports of increased scrutiny on Pakistani visitors, particularly due to concerns over criminal behavior and social media conduct. Authorities had earlier mandated police vetting for all applicants and expressed dissatisfaction with certain influencers’ activities on platforms like TikTok. Despite past hurdles, the UAE has reiterated that there is no ban on visas for Pakistanis. In a previous interview, UAE Consul-General in Karachi Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi clarified that any rejections were based on case-by-case issues. Governor Tessori welcomed the development and thanked the UAE for its continued investment in Sindh, particularly in Karachi. ICA/Expat Media
