Palawan named one of Most Instagrammable Places in the World in 2020

  DUBAI – The beautiful Philippine island of Palawan has been named one of the Top 50 Most Instagrammable Places in the World this 2020. Palawan ranked 36th, topping popular Asian tourist spots destinations like Osaka (38th), Shanghai (40th), Seoul (41st) and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam (43rd). Popular travel website Big Seven Travel described Palawan as a “piece of paradise,” which is “simply perfect.” Big Seven Travel said the list was chosen through a “comprehensive scoring system that analyzed the amount of hashtags per destination, survey results from our audience, and votes cast by our global editorial team.” Palawan featured in the hit 2013 film The Bourne Legacy, starring Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz. The movie's breathtakingly beautiful ending scene was filmed in the province’s El Nido Resorts. The exotic destination has been described as every beach lover’s dream destination and features white sand, coral blue water and two Unesco World Heritage sites. The remote island features the Unesco site Puerto Princessa Subterranean River National Park with a 15-mile long river and limestone caves. Actress Weisz described Palawan as a “paradise island”. “Palawan is more like the Emerald City. It’s like a fantasy. Maybe it’s real to you but to me, it looked like a fantasy place,” she said. Kayangan Lake in all its glory . The only way to get to Kayangan Lake is by boat. We woke up at the crack of dawn and rushed over to the dock, only to learn the coastguard wouldn't let boats leave until 8am ?
