The Nol card, which is currently used to pay for travel on Dubai's metro, buses, and trams, will now be accepted on The Palm Monorail, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The monorail is owned by property developer Nakheel and previously required a separate ticket to board, but people can now pay for their trips using the smartcard for Dubai's public transportation network. The Palm Monorail connects destinations on The Palm Jumeirah, starting at the Gateway station and ending at the Golden Mile Galleria, Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall, and Atlantis Aquaventure station. "This initiative supports the efforts to integrate the public transport networks and offer seamless mobility journeys for riders all over Dubai," said the RTA's Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb. The Nol card can also purchase admission to Dubai Municipality's public parks and the Etihad Museum. BKM/ Expat Media
