On October 25, a partial solar eclipse will be seen in the UAE and many other regions of the world. It will peak around 3:52 pm when the Moon covers 35.4% of the Sun's surface. Solar eclipses are celestial events that occur when the Sun, Moon, and Earth are partially or totally aligned. The Moon blocks light from the Sun and casts a shadow on Earth, with the eclipse visible to anyone within this shadow, the European Space Agency says. To safely observe a solar eclipse, it is essential to use protective eyewear, as exposure can cause retinal damage. Sunglasses will not provide such protection. This year's eclipse will be visible from most of Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East, and western Asia. BKM/ Expat Media
