Sensual and superb are two words that come to mind after experiencing the extraordinary evening brunch at Papillon in Dubai. The Expatmedia.net team was invited to try the new multi-sensory dining experience at the contemporary cabaret in The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina. We were blown away! Think modern cabaret meets classy restoclub. The dinner show, curated by singer and model Layla Kardan, showcased vintage Hollywood scenes in superb song and dance routines. The on-stage entertainment was paired with an impeccable multi-course menu and inventive beverages. Kardan’s entertainers took us through a “sensual liberation” stage show that was slightly risqué but tastefully executed. In between curtain breaks, a very cool female DJ provided upbeat music to keep the mood alive throughout the night in the intimate venue.

The well-paced culinary service was another delight. Our starters included calamari and creamy burrata topped with greens, followed by mains—we opted for a delicious wagyu tomahawk—and capped with decadent chocolate tart and cheesecake for dessert. Portions were decent and packed with flavour in every bite. Our ephemeral Papillon experience left us breaking out of our cocoons, eager for a next taste of their winning fusion of culinary and creative.
