Philippine Airlines has announced that flights to and from Dubai and Doha will remain suspended until May 31 due to ongoing safety concerns in the region. The affected routes include Manila-Dubai-Manila and Manila-Doha-Manila services, along with a Doha-Manila flight scheduled for June 1. The airline said the decision was made amid “developing conditions in the region,” including airspace restrictions and operational challenges. “Safety remains our top priority,” the airline said, noting that unpredictable conditions such as sudden airspace closures and limited routing options have prompted a cautious approach. Meanwhile, flights between Manila and Riyadh will resume starting on Friday (April 10), following a temporary suspension until Thursday (April 9). Philippine Airlines said it will operate Riyadh flights via an alternate route to ensure safety. Some flights will include a brief technical stop in Bangkok for refuelling, with passengers remaining on board during the stop. Affected passengers on suspended routes may choose to rebook at no extra cost, convert tickets into travel credits with a 20 percent bonus, or request a full refund. The airline advised passengers to confirm their bookings before heading to the airport and to monitor official updates as the situation evolves.
