The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai launched on Thursday (November 6) an official Press Corps and is inviting Filipino and foreign media practitioners, journalists, content creators, and communication professionals based in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to register as members. The initiative aims to enhance collaboration between the Consulate and the media community, ensuring accurate, timely, and meaningful coverage of Philippine-related affairs and the vibrant Filipino community in the UAE. Interested applicants may register through the official form at bit.ly/DuPCGPressCorpsReg. Accredited members will become part of the Consulate’s official media network, gaining access to regular updates, press advisories, briefings, and invitations to official events. According to the Consulate, the establishment of the Press Corps reaffirms its commitment to responsible journalism and seeks to strengthen engagement between the Philippine government, the media, and Filipino communities in the UAE. “This initiative underscores the Consulate’s continuing partnership with the media in promoting transparency, fostering dialogue, and highlighting the achievements and activities of Filipinos in the UAE,” the statement read. The Consulate also hopes the Press Corps will become a platform for collaboration and capacity-building, especially in areas of community reporting, cultural diplomacy, and public information.
