Philippine embassy, consulate to close for Labor Day

The Philippine embassy in the UAE will be closed on Monday (May 1) in celebration of Labor Day in the Philippines. The Philippine Embassy announced that on Saturday (May 6), it will be open from 7:30am to 1pm rather than closing for the day.

Services available

— Passport applications and renewals. — Document authentication/notarization. — Registration of marriages, births, etc. – A visa application. — Reactivation or registration for voting abroad. On May 1, all public entrances to the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will also be shut. The embassy provided a list of phone numbers for Filipinos to call if they need emergency assistance. Expats can call +971 4 220 7100 for international calls, and +971 56 501 5756 or +971 56 501 5755 for assistance-to-national matters. KD/Expat Media
